Code of conduct
CRU Communities are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all event attendees. By participating in our events, you agree to adhere to the following code of conduct:
1. Respectful Behaviour
Treat everyone with respect, kindness, and consideration. Harassment, discrimination, or any form of unwelcome behaviour will not be tolerated. Be mindful of your language and actions to create a welcoming atmosphere for all.
2. Inclusivity
CRU embraces diversity. Be inclusive and considerate of different perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences. Engage in discussions with openness and a willingness to learn from others.
3. Professionalism
Maintain a high standard of professionalism throughout the conference. Dress appropriately and interact in a manner that reflects positively on yourself and the CRU Events Community.
4. Collaboration
Encourage a collaborative and cooperative atmosphere. Share your knowledge, experience, and insights while respecting the contributions of others. Foster an environment that promotes learning and networking.
5. Privacy
Respect the privacy of other attendees, speakers and CRU personnel. Do not record, photograph or share personal information without appropriate permission and without complying with applicable law and venue rules and any instructions given by CRU or the speaker. Reasonable personal photography and social media sharing are permitted where not prohibited by CRU, the speaker or the venue and where such activity does not interfere with the Event or other attendee.
Be mindful of the confidentiality of discussions and interactions.
6. Compliance with Laws and Policies
Abide by all applicable local laws in the host nation, and CRU's policies. This includes intellectual property rights, data protection regulations, and any other relevant legal requirements. Where applicable, delegates must also comply with local cultural norms and venue requirements relating to dress code, privacy, conduct and behaviour.
7. Reporting Concerns
If you witness or experience any violations of this code of conduct, promptly report them to CRU Communities staff. We are committed to addressing concerns promptly and maintaining a safe environment for all.
8. Compliance with Venue Rules
Follow the rules and guidelines set by the event venue. This includes fire safety regulations, smoking policies, and any other venue-specific rules.
9. Compliance with Event Schedule
Adhere to the conference schedule, including session start and end times. Arrive on time for sessions and be considerate of speakers and fellow attendees.
10. Consequences of Violations
CRU reserves the right to take appropriate action, including removal from the event, in response to any violation of this code of conduct.
